Artists Matthew Cornford and David Cross will talk about their work with curator Catherine Wood.
This informal conversation will consider what it means to be a spectator, in both sport and art, and will give audiences an insight into the making of The White Bear Effect and consider how this new work develops ideas explored in previous pieces by the pair.
Cornford & Cross met at St Martins School of Art in 1987 and have worked collaboratively ever since. Their work is based on interacting with diverse groups of people that to date have ranged from architects, aviators, chemists, computer scientists and economists. Matthew Cornford is Professor of Fine Art at the University of Brighton, and David Cross is a Reader and Pathway Leader for MA Visual Arts (Graphic Design) at University of the Arts, Camberwell.
Catherine Wood is Curator of Contemporary Art/Performance at Tate Modern.
